The Royal Grand Palace was established in 1782 by Rama 1. The Founder of Bangkok. The whole complex encompasses many building, such as coronation hall, royal pantheon, murals on the walls of the cloister and the emerald Buddha statue enshrined in the chapel itself which is most revered by the people all the beautiful structures are splendidly and exquisitely built to be the residence of various kings of the present dynasty The Grand Palace is a national shrine, guests are asked to be appropriately dressed, shorts and sandals are not allowed.
